Honouring the strength and resilience of the Stolen Generations.

Today, on National Sorry Day, Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperative acknowledges the strength and resilience of the Stolen Generations - the survivors, their families and the descendants who carry their stories.

We remember those who were taken, those who never made it home and those still searching. We honour their courage and pay our respects to Gunditjmara Elders past and present, and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples whose healing journey continues.

Sorry Day is a day for truth-telling, listening and walking together toward a future shaped by justice, recognition and self-determination.
