Today marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign that calls on all of us to stand together, raise awareness and take meaningful action to prevent violence in all its forms.

For Aboriginal women and children, this work is deeply important. Family violence continues to be one of the most significant and devastating issues impacting our communities, and the drivers are closely linked to colonisation, systemic racism, intergenerational trauma, and ongoing inequity.

To mark each day, there will be a story posted on our Facebook and Instagram stories with statistics related to gender based violence in Australia and why it is so important for us to educate and support our mob.
